Recently Jackson State University President Carolyn Myers welcomed us to the JSU e-Center.
WeatherVision recently moved into the new studios at the JSU Mississippi e-Center in preperation for working with JSU students in a new broadcast meteorology ptogram. The weather and teleport operations, as well as WLEZ FM are now located here. We are working with JSU on a new
program where in the months ahead, WeatherVision will become the broadcast TV training side of the JSU meteorology program. The plan is to cross train the students on both the science and the television on-air side, where a degree in broadcast meteorology can be obtained. We are also working to establish a graduate studies program too, offering a master's certificate in this area.
For info on what we are doing in this area, email me at: edward@weathervision.com

Bloggville!
We are in are-building phase with the website so please bear with us...
Al Jazeera America live-shot from our studio today...our first for them as they have just purchased
the former Current TV Network from Al Gore.
We are streaming WLEZ from the site , and we are working to get a streaming player that works with
apple devices...that should be solved shortly.
On a personal note...the baby is due early next week!

I really hope you like the new site at www.weathervision.com. We will be working on it for a while, trying to tie into one site the various projects we work on everyday. We will post some of the daily weathercasts we produce daily for TV stations around the country...we'll post the network transmissions we uplink from our studio, have updates from the Mississippi International Film Festival and last but not least we now have a streaming link to our WLEZ FM signal.
We are really happy at our new studio t Jackson State's Mississippi we-Center. It's a great facility and so many high-tech firms are based here. The move is part of an over-all plan where WeatherVision ties into the JSU Meteorology Department and we train the kids in the area of TV weathercasting...starting perhaps as soon as the winter semester.
The dates for this year's Mississippi International Film Festival are October 25-26-27 in Downtown Jackson.
