National Network Live-Shots and Weathercasts galore...
nightly national weather broadcasts to their affiliate base...we are proud to be with PUNCH...they are we feel an up and comer in the urban programming genre and we're happy to be on the team.
The Teleport side of the business was strong in April too. We did live transmissions for MSNBC, CNN,
Current and FOX Network from our new HD studio set-up at the Jackson State University Mississippi
e-Center. In studio guests we've linked to national network shows are Hale Barbour, Congressman
Bennie Thompson, a pre-teen pastor form Mississippi and coverage of the Elvis guy who was for a short time a suspect in the poison letter investigation.
We have been and will be for the next months ahead in a major re-working of the WeatherVision-Jackson Teleport-WLEZ website. We are aggregating all the projects into one website... so if you come to WeatherVision.com you also have links to WLEZ FM and Jackson Teleport as well as Mississippi International Film Festival and our film library we market to the TV industry.
Of course the biggest thing we've undertaken over the past several months has been the move of TV studios / Jackson Teleport / Weather operations / Radio studio from our old Foley St facility
where we were located for 20 years into the JSU Mississippi e-Center. The final elements of the Teleport were moved into the e Center by the end of December. During the months ahead WeatherVision will become the broadcast side of the meteorological program at JSU. It's a new aspect to what we do and a way of rounding out the circle as it were, as JSU was where I took my first courses in meteorology in 1981, so in many ways it feels like coming home.
